About Smith Fryar Families: Our Histories and Mysteries
Please sign in to see more.
A BIG Welcome! Feel free to take a look around. This is the family tree of Kimberly Jean Fryar and Charles Blake Smith. Email me if you have any questions, corrections, or additions. Or, if you're related, I can send an invite so you can post and edit. I've tried to document, but when I first started this, I wasn't quite so diligent. So, please, please double-check the information you receive. Also, the Luttrell that came over to the US, his lineage is BELIEVED to be what it is, but it's acknowledged.

Some of my "Brickwall Names":
 1. Rosa "Rosie" Abbott b. Aug 1851 in New York, m. George Amasa Phippen in Fond du Lac Co., WI.

2. Mary E. Roberts b. abt 1855 in Georgia, m. 1871 in Hempstead Co., Arkansas to John Richard "Dick" Rothwell. I've a feeling her family was Native American.

3. John & Charity Ayres of 1850 Campbell Co., TN. Charity's maiden name is unknown, and no one knows John's family. The last name changed to Ayers for us.

4. Francis Pinkney Rumsey & Rhoda Byrd of Campbell Co., GA. Can't find them before 1820.

5. Augustus Orlando Miller, Sr. born 5 Sep 1825 - in the census records, he flip- flops between being born in OH & VA. He lived in Mercer Co., MO and Union, Washita Co., OK, buried in Corn, OK.

6. Mother of Amasa Phippen: the only thing I have on her is her birthplace from Amasa's census records, which states she was born in Scotland. His father was Aseph, son of Samuel from Topsfield, MA, both were in the Revolution.

7. Marshall Benjamin Galloway, b. 1760 in Baltimore, MD, Revolutionary Patriot. Said to be a grandson of one of 7 brothers that came over from Scotland to Pennsylvania. His wife is also a mystery: Hannah Watlin.

9. Christopher Columbus Fryar, b. 1850 in Mississippi. There is no known record of him before 3 Sep 1890 when he married my g-grandmother in Hempstead Co., AR. So, if you're missing a Fryar male that matches the birth info, PLEASE contact me!

There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
